Lumber has been a big part of our history.
Steve Kyte started TIMBERKITS in 2012, but the story doesn’t begin there. It dates back to his grandfather who owned a lumber sawmill, and later, his father who owned a logging company. Growing up, these men were his role models and he quickly picked up woodworking as well.
Generation after generation, a skill was passed down. More importantly, the reminder that what matters most is being hardworking, collaborative, having respect for the material, producing a top-quality product and having meticulous attention to detail, no matter how big or small the project is.
Prior to starting TIMBERKITS, Steve has spent 15 years building log and timber frame homes. The knowledge and experience he has gained from this time have helped him create the timber structures he’s known for today.
